Christantus Uche Fuels Straightforward Palace Victory at Irish Side Shelbourne.

Despite embarking on their first-ever continental adventure, Crystal Palace are adapting very quickly. Without star figures like forward Jean-Philippe Mateta and wing-back Daniel Muñoz, the Eagles left Dublin with a comfortable result that all but secures them a spot in the Europa Conference League qualifying rounds.

A further victory in their next fixture against Finnish KuPS ought to be sufficient to seal straight entry to the knockout stages, particularly after a previous setback against Strasbourg.

This match offered a platform for some of Palace's lesser-used players to shine. Christantus Uche, making only his second beginning since joining on loan from Getafe, opened the scoring with a clinical goal. Striker Eddie Nketiah added a another, scoring for the second game in succession.

After the break, manager Oliver Glasner seized the opportunity to withdraw key individuals like Kamada and Wharton. Replacement Romain Esse almost scoring his very first touch, but saw his shot blocked.

Esse was incredibly unlucky later on, seeing one shot strike off both posts before being clasped on the line. Uche then blazed a glaring chance, indicating there is still room for development in his game.

The only concern for Palace was a second-half injury to Justin Devenny, who was forced off. This paved the way for 17-year-old striker Benji Casey to earn his first-team debut, capping an otherwise perfect evening for the traveling side.
